I requested a payout from Bodog during the 2nd week of June. I asked them where the check is & they tell me that they can not send the check by mail anymore & that it will be sent by courier. The last time I had them send me a check, it came FedEx, they left it on my doorstep & never even knocked. Since I live in an apartment I was lucky it wasn't stolen. I wonder if others have had this problem & what option I have to get the money sent to me.

    Thank You

Every site is having trouble right now finding "financial service providers" in the US willing to process transactions. There is not much that can be done about this until laws are changed. The reputable sites will get you your money eventually, but how long it takes and what methods they use will continue to be open questions.

  3. Forbes is reporting tonight that the US government recently seized $24 million dollars from "bank accounts linked to Bodog".

According to the article (linked below), "federal filings make very clear that a serious criminal investigation of the Bodog enterprise is ongoing."

Forbes says that the U.S. attorney's office in Baltimore launched the lawsuits to take the money, and that Bodog-related seizures occurred at Wachovia, Bank of America, SunTrust Banks and Regions Bank.

The article says that $14.2 million was seized in January and February of this year from accounts in the names of JBL Services and Transaction Solutions. Another $9.9 million dollars was seized in July from "eight accounts at Nevada State Bank, in the name of Zaftig Instantly Processed Payments, doing business as ZipPayments.com."

The Forbes article says that a statement from Wachovia seemed to hint that accounts were kept open at the request of investigators in order to aid their investigation.

The IRS's Criminal Investigation division "started looking at Bodog in 2003 and opened a formal probe in 2006". This has involved the "enlisting of unnamed cooperating witnesses and informants, undercover efforts to make bets on football and collect winnings, and close examination of public and bank records".

The article then goes on to detail a number of the companies that are linked to the United States Bodog operation. Apparently the $9.9 million dollar seizure from the Nevada State Bank came when an undercover operative cashed a check that didn't bounce, leading investigators to the bank accounts.

  4. How are the FEDS grabbing money from off shore account? I highly doubt that Bodog is using US Banks to secure their monetary assets.

If I recall correctly, when I got a check last year from them, It was under JBL & it was drawn on a bank in Atlanta, GA. I don't think that JBL was a bank but finanical services of some kind

I just opened a Bodog account and have received the instructions for transferring money in, but after having read the above posts I'm now holding off for a bit....any words on whether I should open a cash account or not? Thanks, everybody...

Finally afer 45 business days (since 6/11), they finally sent the check. it is drawn on a bank if Quebec. Since I live in the US, I wonder if I will have any problems with my bank. I hope I don't have a problem with it bouncing. It looks like it is drawn on a real bank (been abround since 1867)

I have had problems with getting checks in a timely manner so I switched to getting payments via money transfer from a very reputable money transfer service. Call bodog's customer service number and ask about the other payout methods and they will be able to guide you through the initial setup procedures to have money tranfers of payouts in the future. It's working out great for me. I always get my payouts within 3 days - most of the time it is available by the next day.

Requested 600.00 from Bodog in late June. Still waiting for it. Problem with how much a day the courier can process? Are there any others with this problem. I am going into the 10th week of waiting for my money.

I've been with Bdog for over five years and they've never been good about paying out. I've actually had five checks bounce from them. One they wouldn't replace because they said that they sent the replacement (which I never saw) and that it had been cashed. So, I pulled all of my money and moved it to Stars.
The funny thing is, soon after, Bdog started allowing you to turn your points into ecash. I did that, and have built my account up far higher than I have on Stars. Bdog: Hate the site, love the players.
I'll check into MoneyGram though yrit, and thnx for the info. My debit card from Bdog only worked twice, then was cancelled.

So, I called Bdog support this morning and they no longer have MoneyGram as a deposit or payout option. Her recommendation was to set up an account with ewalletexpress and use that instead.

Problem is that you cannot withdraw to your Ewalletxpress account. Support confirmed this to me by email.

Hi Everyone, I am new to this site, nice to have an outlet. BODOG is a very bad poker site. I have done some monitoring of this site and after much exploration it would seem that this poker site is running a poker program to "enhance action" . I am not sure about you but at one point in this investigation we monitored the board pairing over 75% of the time (in one tourney). If anyone has the odds of this happening please share. Also, I am looking for a legit website that will allow american players and has a legit game. This "enhanced action" seems to go on all over the place. If you can avoid it I would stop playing at BODOG. Not a legit game.

Your right JP. Bodog phone support told me that ewalletexpress would operate in the same way as Paypal allowing money to move both directions. So, I set up the account and made the required deposit to Bodog to activate it. And.....Nope. Can't make withdrawals through ewalletexpress......"I don't know why she told you that" was customer support's response. Nice.
Current estimated payout time by check is 8 weeks.
