I am from Indiana just north of Indianapolis. I play alot of online poker and am very upset with the way there trying to eradicate the game online! I think it is a violation of our constitutional rights! I have just joined the ppa after hearing about it for years. I figure if I want to complain about it I should proabably see if theres anything I can do to help! I have a decent size group of friends from Indiana that also play online and I will spread the word about the ppa to all of them as quickly as I can!

Good to hear from Indiana members and glad to hear that your all willing to help. It seems that we do have people in Indiana willing to step up and help with the PPA effort. I encourage others to make their presence known so that we can get an idea of the numbers in our state.

The problem is that we apparently have no PPA leadership at the State level. I have repeatedly emailed the State Director and the PPA asking for information about PPA direction and action in Indiana with an offer to help. To date I have not received any contact from the State Director and apparently we don't have an assistant to the State Director.

PPA staff have sent me recruiting materials and there is plenty of interest in the cause among central Indiana poker players, but at this point, I'm reluctant to do much in the way of recruiting as we have no leadership and/or guidance in our state. I still hold hope that someone of authority will eventually make contact and I will continue to try to find that person(s). Now is an important time for us to strengthen our Indiana membership numbers, particularly in light of actions being taken by the Kentucky Governor and members of Congress.

I would ask each of you from Indiana to contact the PPA with a request for our State Director to make themselves known and to take a more active role of leadership and guidance in our state efforts.

Good luck at the tables...Tim

Hi fellow Hoosiers. I rejoined the PPA recently (took a long hiatus and account fell through the cracks, I guess). I've seen dozens of players on Stars from Indiana, so I know players are out there. I'm a weekend Dad and time is limited, but I'll do whatever I can for the cause.

I've not joined yet, but will, as soon as I see some active leadership. Thanks for getting this started, Tim.

Thanks for responding Aquadad. The last couple of days I've received responses from the PPA and we may soon be on the road to having some active participation from Indiana. I believe that if we are going to ask members of our poker communities to join and become active, we first have to assure them that their is active leadership at the state level and that we are working toward a realistic local goal that will eventually assist in the national fight.

Again, thanks for the response and please stay in touch. Anyone else out there from Indiana?

I have not seen any activity here either. I have some neighbors that play and I'm going to get them to join and see if we can at least see some activity here in Indiana.

I'm trying to find any other PPA members from Indiana. I've emailed PPA and the Indiana State Director and have received no responses. It's hard to promote PPA and the fight if the leadership isn't active and/or responsive.

If you're a member from Indiana, feel free to respond. It will be interesting to see just how many Indiana members there are.
